Evelyn Mae Robideaux Smith, 85, of Lake Charles, Louisiana died Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Evelyn was born on February 14, 1930 in Indian Bayou, to Arthur and Montie Robideaux. She had a passion for education and art, and she loved people. Evelyn is survived by five nephews, Terry Robideaux of Moss Bluff, Larry Robideaux and wife Theresa, also of Moss Bluff, Harvey Robideaux and wife Barbara of West Monroe, Douglas Robideaux and wife Sharon of Michigan, Kenny Robideaux and wife Leta also of West Monroe; niece, Alice Bragg and husband Jerry of Lake Charles; sister- in- law, Kathleen Robideaux of West Monroe; step children, Greg Creal and wife Rainey of Oregon, Carrie Smith and Dennis of Washington, Robin Morris and husband Dave also of Washington, and Todd Smith; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darold Gene Smith of Washington. A celebration of her life will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Trinity Baptist Church, 505 N. Beglis Parkway, Sulphur, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Pastor Lamar Huffman will officiate.
