Faustina Alaniz

Faustina Alaniz, 76, of Westlake, died Tuesday December 26, 2017 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family.

She was a native of Bay City, TX and longtime resident of Westlake, LA. Tina enjoyed being around her family from traveling to Bay City to spend time with her sisters to helping with her grandchildren and Westwood School. She also enjoyed visiting the casino. Tina was an active parishioner of St. John Bosco Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosalio and Delores Lozano Perez; husband Joe Alaniz; and two sons, Rosalio and Ben Alaniz. She leaves to honor and cherish her memory her children, Joe Alaniz, Jr. (Tina); Adam Alaniz (April); Lisa Taylor (Steve) and James Alaniz (Lacci); seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; two brothers; seven sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday December 29, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. A funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday December 30, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home. Deacon Garrett Caraway will officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
