Fay Marie Caldwell

Fay Marie Manuel Caldwell, 69, of Lake Charles died on her birthday, Thursday, September 12, 2019 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Caldwell a native of Eunice, LA was born September 12, 1950 to Lee V. and Lula Mae Manuel. She was a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School and lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She was a lady of grace and faith. She was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church and Ladies Altar Society. She enjoyed many years as a Catechism teacher at church and home. Mrs. Caldwell will be most remembered for her love and devotion to her family and her welcoming spirit.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty years, Harry “Gene” Caldwell of Lake Charles; two sons, Shawn Caldwell and wife Lorri of Lake Charles and Shane Caldwell of Port Allen, LA ; two daughters, Marsha Caldwell Fruge of Lake Charles and Mauria Caldwell Haraway and husband Jason of Bruley, LA; seven grandchildren, Jacob Caldwell, Hailey Evans, Grant Caldwell, Aubrey Caldwell, Anna Langford, Alli Langford and Victor Haraway; eleven siblings, Dave Manuel and wife Charlotte, Peter Manuel and wife Cindy, Ted Manuel, Tony Manuel and wife Kathy, Sue Fruge, Gwen Alexander and husband Brad, Joe Manuel and wife Peggy, Lulu Maddox and husband Charles, Paul Manuel and wife Vanessa, Celina Reed and husband Barry and Ivan Manuel and godchildren, Amanda Rowe, Fabian Manuel, Jennifer Maddox and Robin Roy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, L.V. “Blackie” Manuel.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday September 15, 2019 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Very Reverend Anthony Fontenot will officiate. Visitation Sunday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 PM.
