Faye Manuel Swickard

Dianna Faye Manuel Swickard, 68, of Moss Bluff, LA, died on Saturday, January 30, 2016 in her residence.

Mrs. Swickard was born December 28, 1947 in Lake Charles, LA and was a 1965 graduate of Marion High School. She worked as an accountant for various firms including K-Mart (1969-1985), the University Hospital in Augusta, GA for twelve years, and BHP Petroleum and Mining in Houston (1999-2005). She later worked as a nutritionist at the Moss Bluff Senior Center (2010-2012). She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She loved to travel and enjoyed sailing with her husband on their sailboat and will always be remembered for her fun nature and outgoing personality.

Mrs. Swickard is survived by her husband of thirty-three years, Steaven W. Swickard; son, Wade Alan Conner of Welsh; step-son, Andrew David Swickard of Indiana; sisters, Barbara Fontenot and husband Gary of Dry Creek, Janice Duplechain and husband Michael of Ragley, and Rhonda Dartez and husband Joey of Westlake, LA; grandchildren, Wade Austin Conner, Connor Swickard and Haley Swickard; and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family members and friends that were dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thelus and Jennie Vidrine Manuel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Father Huckaby will officiate. Burial will follow in New Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
