Florence Bosie Reeder

Florence "Bosie" Katherine Reeder, 86, of Sulphur, LA died at 5:00 PM on Friday, December 3, 2010 in her residence.

Mrs. Reeder was born May 26, 1924 in Williamsport, PA, where she lived before moving to Sulphur, LA twenty-six years ago. She worked most of her life as a seamstress. She was a member of Preparing the Way Ministries and enjoyed crocheting and canning pickles. She will always be remembered for her loving personality and her open heart to help others.

Mrs. Reeder is survived by her son, Stanley "Buck" Reeder and wife Jennifer; daughter-in-law, Sandy Reeder, all of Sulphur; sister, Lois Dudek of PA; niece, Rena Scharlau; nephew, Mickey McMann of Muncy, PA; grandsons, Russell and Carey Reeder, Stanley and Pam Reeder, and William and Steph Reeder; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her best friend and the love of her life, Russell Reeder, Sr., her husband of sixty-six years; and son, Russell Reeder, Jr.

Her memorial service will be at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverends Doyle and Gena Evans will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
