Florence L. Miesel

Florence L. Miesel departed this world to meet her Savior on July 18, 2016 in her residence at 9:45 am. She was born on February 3, 1923 in Brisbin, Pa. She was married to her husband, Victor E. Miesel, on April 21, 1946, and they recently celebrated 70 years of marriage.

 Florence is survived by her husband, Victor E. Miesel and they have resided for the last 2 years at the Verandah at Graywood in Lake Charles. Florence is also survived by her 4 children, Victor C. Miesel of Lake Charles, La, Bradley R. Miesel of Houston, TX, Sandra West of Damon, TX, and John E. Miesel of Pittsburgh, Pa. She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Victor and Florence lived the majority of their lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and after retirement in Tionesta, Pa. Florence was always a “Stay at Home Mother” and her greatest joy was in her children. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and for the last 2 years a member of St John’s Lutheran Church in Lake Charles. Anyone who knew Florence loved her and she was one of the kindest and most gentle women you could know. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, July 22, 2016 at The Verandah at Graywood Retirement Community.  Rev. Charlie Miller will officiate services.
