Flossie Pearl Bushnell, 88, of Lake Charles, La died November 26, 2014 in a local hospital. Flossie was born on January 20, 1926 in Iola, TX to Robert and Gracie Burns. She has lived in Lake Charles, La since 1946. She was a "Pink Lady Volunteer" in local hospitals with over 20 years of service. She dearly loved raising livestock, being around animals, and being around family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling, fishing, and camping. She is survived by one son, Howard R. Bushnell " Skipper" and wife Claudia of Lake Charles, La; three grandchildren, Ronnie Bushnell and wife Missy of Lake Charles, La, Michael Bushnell and wife Suzanne of Lake Charles, La, and Tracie Kadlubar and husband Danny of Lake Charles, La; great grand children, Brittany, Gabby, Sarah, Michael, and Ally; one great great granddaughter, Ava. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Howard L. Bushnell; parents; two brothers, Bob Burns and Bill Burns; one sister, Grace Brown. Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, November 29, 2014 at St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Friday, November 28, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Prien Memorial Park. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate services.
