Floyd Allen Groothoff

Floyd Allen Groothoff, 21, of Lake Charles, LA, died on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in his residence. Floyd was born November 2, 1993 in Lake Charles, LA, where he was a life-long resident and was a 2013 graduate of Washington Marion High School. He will always be remembered as a flirt who loved listening to music and enjoyed watching Shrek. Floyd is survived by his mother, Kathryn Groothoff; father, Hayward J. Tezeno; sisters, Gabrielle Groothoff and Shelby Groothoff of Lake Charles; aunts, Vickie Lambright, Lorrey Ozane, Sherrey Groothoff and Lillian Touchet, all of Lake Charles; uncles, Darrell R. Groothoff of Wisconsin, Gary Ozane and Randy Peshoff, both of Lake Charles; caretaker and friend, Shoronda Lewis; and a host of family members and friends. He was loved and will be missed by his favorite cousin, Victoria Cormier. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and sister, Sidney Mabis Groothoff. His cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
