Floyd Jack LeBleu, Sr., 84, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 4:02 AM on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in his residence.
Mr. LeBleu was born April 4, 1934 in Iowa, LA, raised in LeBleu Settlement and lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for the Lake Charles Harbor and Terminal District for twenty years, retiring in 1985 as Chief of Police. Mr. LeBleu was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. He was also a member of the VFW, where he was very active for a number of years. He had a love for music and played the drums and the rhythm guitar with his brothers in the Bar X Ramblers. During his younger years, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and on the water. He was an avid camper and loved to hunt and fish, especially with his family. Later in life, Jack enjoyed collecting coins and guns. He was a man whose loyalty and integrity will always be remembered. He was a loving father and husband and lived for his family.
Mr. LeBleu is survived by his children, Floyd Jack LeBleu, Jr. (Tammy) of DeRidder, LA and Sheila Faye Luquette (Danny) of Reeves, LA; grandchildren, Alisha Rose McClelland, Corey Paul LeBleu, Gloria Rose Ramirez (Lakyn), Ronald Edward Stockman, II, Marie Nicole Stockman (Aaron), Aubrey LeBleu, Kaylee Simon, and Andy LeBleu; great-grandchildren, Kaydence Rose McClelland, Rylee Rose Stockman, Annalyse Stockman, and Bentley Carter; and a Godson, Jacob Eli LeBleu, Jr. of Lake Charles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mary LeBleu; son, Kenneth Wayne LeBleu; parents, Lloyd and Prudence LeBleu; and siblings, Lloyd Horace LeBleu, Amor Perry LeBleu, Albert “Curley” LeBleu, Sr., and Jacob Eli LeBleu, Sr. He was followed in death by his daughter, Pamela Jean Ramirez also on October 16, 2018.
Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the funeral home. He and his daughter’s funeral mass will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Father Trey Ange will officiate. His graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Bellevue Memorial Park, 914 N. Union Street, Opelousas, LA.
