Floyd Johnson, 85, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 in Sulphur, LA. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 2 pm at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Father Ruben Buller officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday September 30, 2014 from 5-9 pm and resume on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of service. Floyd retired from Cities Service in 1985 after 37 years. He served in the Marines and fought in the Korean War. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who took advantage of everything Louisiana had to offer for the Sportsman's Paradise. Floyd would always do for others but would never ask for help himself. He was an ornery old man of a different era. You had to know him to love him...and he was loved by many. The neighborhood kids loved Mr. Floyd. No matter how hard of a time he gave them, they always came back for more. Floyd is survived by his daughters, Charlotte Arras, Aline (Mike) Hudson, Susanna Johnson and Pearl Fruge; sister, Eula Rae Buller; sister in law, JoAnne Johnson McMillan; grandchildren, Amanda (Danny) Weir, Brian (Anne) Hudson, Raymond (Jennifer) Fruge, Jonathan Arras and Scott Hudson; great grandchildren, Samuel and Charlie Hudson, Julian and Andrew Fruge and Gunner and unborn baby Weir. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bennie Lee Johnson; and grandson, Daniel Short.
