Floyd Martz, 74, passed away on August 8, 2024, in the comfort of his home. Floyd was born on March 25, 1950, in Kimball, Nebraska, to Herbert and Letha Martz. He joined the United States Navy on May 23, 1968, and served his country in Vietnam. Floyd loved eating ice cream and watching westerns. In his younger years he loved going out on his boat, fishing, taking his kids to the beach, and building things. He also loved to cook for his family. He loved his family above all.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Cathy; his children, Joel Martz, Heather Martz Kelley and husband, Wayne, Donna Martz Vincent and husband, Jamie and Jennifer Martz Vest and husband, Ricky; 9 grandchildren, Brianna, Lindsey, Jarren, Ian, Valerie, Hailey, Tyler, Ashlynn, and Mark; two sisters, Sarah Havner and husband, David, and JoAnn Kiel and husband, Eugene; one brother, Bud Foreman and wife, Peggy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Services for Floyd will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur. Burial will follow at 1:30 PM at SWLA Veterans Cemetery in Jennings. The family will receive friends from 9 AM until the time of service.

The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice and Renee and Lucy for their care and compassion of Floyd.
