Floyd "Tom" Foster, 83 of Starks passed away on July 3, 2014 in his residence surrounded by his family. Tom worked as an industrial painter in the construction business. He loved to hunt at his camp in West TX and was a member of the Briar Hill Hunting Club in Starks. Tom was a jolly person who loved to joke and pick. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Tom also loved his church family. Tom is survived by his wife of 59 years, Leta Foster of Starks; a son, Timothy Foster and a daughter, Ruth Sparks and husband, Sammy; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Rosetta Bussell of Starks and Bessie Mae Smith and husband, Gordon of Griffin, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Letha Foster; a grandson; a brother; and 4 sisters. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. at United Pentecostal Church in Deweyville with Rev. Darrell Orange officiating. Burial will be in the VFW Cemetery in Starks under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 5-9 p.m. at the church in Deweyville.
