Frances Carol Miller

Frances Carol Miller, 69, of Oak Grove, LA, died on Thursday, July 25, 2013 in a Kingwood, TX hospital.

Ms. Miller was born August 12, 1943 in Lake Charles, LA and was raised in Oak Grove, LA. She was a 1961 graduate of South Cameron High School and attended McNeese State University. She worked at Farver Chevrolet in Creole, LA and also worked as an accountant for the Votech School in Cameron. Ms. Miller was also a past owner and operator of the Christian Book Store and the offshore laundry facility for a number of years. She enjoyed photography and traveled around Texas with her photography company. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and Trinity Baptist Church. Ms. Miller enjoyed old gospel music and will be remembered as a great softball player.

Ms. Miller is survived by her son, Shannon Keith Aucoin, Sr. and wife Daphne; grandson, Shannon Keith Aucoin, Jr. and wife Cassandra; great-grandchild, Juniper Marie Aucoin, all of Humble, TX; and sisters, Karen Boudreaux of Lake Charles and Judy Rutherford and husband Wendall of Oak Grove.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Ruby Murphy Miller; and sister, Donna Fletcher.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July, 27, 2013 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Primeaux will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
