Francisco E. "Frank" Sepulveda

Francisco “Frank” E. Sepulveda, 60, passed away March 25, 2021 at a local hospital.

Mr. Sepulveda was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 4, 1960. He graduated from St. Anthony Elementary, and Morton East High School, Cicero, Illinois. He attended the University of Illinois and also Sowela Technical Community College, graduating with a degree in networking.

He became an Eagle Scout at age of thirteen at the Eagle Scout Court of Honor held at the Cicero Moose Lodge.

He moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana over 20 years ago. After working in the banking business, he went on to work and retire from the government. Upon retiring, he opened his own computer business.  He was a former member of Phi Beta Lambda Fraternity, for many years a member of Rudolph Krause Masonic Lodge #433, and a member of the Krewe of Illusions, reigning as King XXII in 2012.

Frank loved all sports, especially his beloved Chicago White Sox. He loved history, reading, listening to audio books, traveling, and collecting sports cards. Frank had a good sense of humor and loved people.

Frank is preceded in death by his mother, Abelina King Sepulveda; his father, Jim C. Sepulveda; a sister, Sylvia C. Irwin; and brother, Arthur A. Sepulveda.

He leaves to cherish his memory; a brother, James Sepulveda Jr.; a sister, Diana M. Sepulveda; four nephews, Rob Irwin, Paul Sepulveda, Christopher Sepulveda, and Eric Sepulveda; grandnephew, Vincent Sepulveda; grandniece, Karma Sepulveda; beloved god children, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A gathering of friends in Lake Charles will take place at Champaign-Businick VFW Post 2130, 5676 Lake Street, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 24, 2021 with memorial services beginning at 6:00 PM.  A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held in Evergreen Park, IL at a later date. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Illinois.
