Frank David Campbell, 54, of Sulphur, Louisiana, died at 5:37 am on Saturday, February 18, 2012 in a Lake Charles hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial honoring his life will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at 10 am in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2700 Maplewood Dr. in Sulphur with Father Aubrey V. Guilbeau officiating. Friends are invited for visitation with his family at Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur from 4 pm " 8 pm on Monday, February 20th and again the morning of the funeral from 9 am until time of service. A scripture reading will be held on Monday evening at 6 pm. Frank was born on October 9, 1957, at Johnson Air Force Base in Japan and lived the rest of his life in Sulphur. He was a graduate of Sulphur High School and attended Louisiana Tech University and McNeese State University. He worked many years for West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital and then for twelve years for Westlake PetroChemical until his death. Frank had a love of life that was apparent to all who knew him. His great sense of humor was a constant entertainment to his friends and fellow workers. Anyone who knew Frank knew how much he enjoyed a good debate, especially with him the winner. He always enjoyed sudoku, crossword puzzles, taking Mensa tests, his huge collection of books, the rifle range, sailing, camping, and his loyal companions, his dogs. Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 21 years, Lynn Dee Haddock Campbell of Sulphur; his mother, Ellen Campbell also of Sulphur; two sons, Nicholas John Campbell of Killeen, Texas and Mitchell Leza Sanner and wife Jamilya of Houston, Texas; daughter, Jamie Lynn Rose and husband Danny of Moss Bluff; sister, Wendy Sue Ptomey and husband Joe of Haslet, Texas; two brothers, Michael Niel Campbell and wife Susan of Alpharetta, Georgia and Kent Timothy Campbell and wife Kelley of Birmingham, Alabama; grandchildren, Alexis Rose and Ayden Rose of Moss Bluff; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry F. Campbell and his brother, Mark Lynn Campbell.
