Franklin Boyd Free, 90, of Sulphur passed away on September 29, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Holder officiating. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery, Edgerly. The family will receive friends beginning on Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 4:00 pm -8:00 pm at Robison Funeral Home and Sunday, from 8:00 am until the time of service. Franklin was a native of Pleasant Hill and a long time Sulphur resident. After high school, he served his country in the US Army 0Air Corps during WWII. When he returned to Sulphur, he began working for Cities Service until he retired after 36 years. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Sulphur. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lurlene; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Zelma Free of Sulphur; 2 sons: Leslie Free and wife Wanda of Sulphur and Jeff Free and wife Beth of Sulphur; brother, Melton Free and wife Etoyce of Pleasant Hill, LA; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends
