Freddie Carriere

Freddie Carriere, 86, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in a local hospital.  Freddie retired after 33 years of service with the United States Postal Service.  He loved fishing and playing bourre’.  Freddie proudly served our country in the United States Navy. 

Freddie is survived by his children, Cynthia Cotton, David Carriere and Richard Carriere; 12, grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 plus years, Grace Carriere; two siblings, Patrick Carriere and Norma Lee Quirk; and one grandson, Shane Brooks.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10 AM at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church with Father Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. officiating.  Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss.  The family will receive friends on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 4-9 PM with a rosary at 6:30 and will resume on Saturday at 8 AM until time to leave for the church.
