Freddie Guillory, 78, of Lake Charles died Sunday, October 10, 2010 in the comfort of his home.


Mr. Guillory was born, raised and educated in Mallet, LA. He has lived the past fifty years in Lake Charles. He worked thirty- five years for Sasol North America, retiring as a Maintenance Supervisor. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.


Mr. Guillory enjoyed wood working, cabinet making and his weekly card game with his buddies. His greatest times were family gatherings with his children and grandchildren. He will be most remembered as man of generosity.


He leaves to honor his memory, his daughters, Veronica Clophus and husband Herbert of Sulphur and Cathy Papillion and husband Glenn of Lake Charles; sons, Timothy Guillory of Baton Rouge and Ronald Guillory of Lake Charles; daughters, Elizabeth Lemonier, Samantha Broussard and husband James and Genevia Guillory Coward and husband Jimmy, all of Lake Charles; thirteen grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; one brother, Burley Guillory of Opelousas and six sisters, Lucille Citizen of Church Point, Clara Guillory, Mary Dejean and Dora Guillory, all of Lake Charles and Marjorie Johnson and Audrey Jackson, both of Houston, TX.


He was preceded in death by his loving wife of forty three years, Ivy Fontenot Guillory; his parents, Melvin and Lillian Guillory; four brothers and two sisters.


Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 14, 2010 St. Henry Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Father Ruben Buller will officiate. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a scripture service and rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue Thursday from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM in the funeral home.
