Friley Joe Joseph Ford, Jr.

Friley Joe Joseph Ford Jr, 79, died Saturday, September 15, 2012, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born to Thelma Mae and Friley Joseph Ford Sr. on December 15, 1932 in Tensas, LA. After honorably serving his country in the United States Army, Mr. Ford retired having served 43 years as General Foreman for F. Miller and Sons Construction Company. Mr. Ford was an avid deer hunter, cattleman, horseman, and gardener, and enjoyed watching bull riding and football. He was a loving devoted father and cherished poppa.

Mr. Ford was preceded in death by his parents and son, David Wayne Ford.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 54 years, Marie Ann Lokey Ford of Ragley; sons, Friley Smokey Justin Ford (Maggie O'Brien), Ragley, Stoney Ford (Lisa), Ragley, Andy Drew (Penny) Ford, Kinder; brother, Blake and Barbara Ford; grandchildren, Thora Jane Ford, Friley Jonah Ford, Taryn Elayne Ford, Gerald Eckard, Kristian Fruge, and Payton Fruge; five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 10:00 AM in Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Monday September 17, 2012 at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume Tuesday morning at 8:00 AM until time of service at 10:00AM.Deacon Roy Nash will officiate. Interment will be at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley.
