Gail Edward Pinney

Gail Edward Pinney, 66, of Lake Charles passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012.

Mr. Pinney was born to Woodrow and Lassie Brown Pinney in Houston, TX. He was a graduate of Marion High School and lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He served the United States Army during Vietnam. Mr. Pinney retired with the IBEW Local Union 861 after having worked nearly forty years as an Electrician. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Mr. Pinney will be most remembered for his generosity.

He leaves to honor his memory, one son, Aaron Glen Pinney of Lake Charles, one daughter, Amy Elizabeth Bond and husband Charles of Hampton, VA; two grandchildren, Emily Pinney, Makenzie Bond and "baby Bond" on the way; one sister, Helen Marie Powell of PA; two brothers, Kenneth Ray Pinney of CA and Lawrence Evans Pinney of IN and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert Glen Pinney and toddler sister, Elanda Pinney.

Memorial service will be at 4:00 PM Friday, January 20, 2012 at Community of Christ Church, 719 15th Street, Lake Charles, 70601, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Reverends Ruth Askew and Becky Crawford will officiate.
