Gail Reifsnider, 84 was called Home on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
Gail was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, she was born on September 12, 1936 to Elray and Lucina Foreman.
She attended and graduated from St. Charles Academy, she was a loving wife and mother to her three children. Spending time with her family was important to her, especially when she was hosting a family get together. She was a member of First Baptist Church, also a past historian and treasurer for American Legion Post 1, and was a Red Hat Lady. She always loved to travel and upon retirement she and her husband enjoyed traveling to wherever the road may take them.
In her later years, she looked forward to her “Sara Sundays”, when her aunt Sara Brasher would always come to visit bringing her fresh flowers.
The family would like to give special thanks to Amedisys and St. Joseph Hospice for their dutiful care of Gail over the years.
Those left to cherish her memory are; her children, Charles E. “Chuck” and Debra Reifsnider and Kathy Ainsworth; grandchildren, Charles J. “Joey” (Jeanne) Reifsnider, Michelle Dugas, and Todd Ferstl; great grandchildren, Hayleigh, Gavin, Zachary, Carson, Kade, Gunner, Kopen, Joshua; a great great grandchild, Maddox.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her husband, Charles J. "Chuck" Reifsnider; her father, her mother and her step-father Eugene Ory; son Michael D. Reifsnider; and grandson Gary Ferstl.
The family will welcome friends on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Lake City Baptist Church located at 3940 Holly Hill Rd. Lake Charles, LA 70601 from 10am to 2pm. A funeral led by Chuck Norwood will begin at 2pm with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
