Garner Lee Lack

September 26, 1928 — February 28, 2015

Train a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old he will not turn away from it. Proverbs 22:6 On February 28, 2015, our husband and dad was entrusted to God's loving care, with the family he cherished by his side. Lee was the only child of Ernest and Nettie Lack, born on September 26, 1928. He was 86 years old. Lee was a quiet man and will be remembered for his kind and gentle ways. He believed in the values of old times. His word was as good as a signed contract. He was a cowboy at heart and loved his horses and cattle. Lee loved his family with all his heart and we always felt his love. Lee leaves to forever miss and love him his wife, Mary Ann who spoiled him as did his mother before her; his children, Donald Lee Lack, Scot Alan Cookson and daughter in law, Pam Cookson, Brenda Jane Scarborough, son in law David Babineaux and Shirley Jannette Henry; seven grandchildren, Kim Wright, Cheryl Gintz, Meagan Lack, Lindsey (Dustin) Braquet, Dina (Brett) Mitchell, Sandy (Don) Tyler and Trudi (JC) Farlow; eight great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Lee was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jody Lee Cormier; daughter in law, Cynthia Lack; and two sons in law, Paul Henry and Wesley Scarborough. Services for Lee will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 2 pm at First Baptist Church of Carlyss with Pastor Steve Shirley officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 11 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines South under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Our heartfelt thanks and love to Pastor Steve and Laurelle Shirley and our family angel, Kim Wright, for the kindness, prayers and love they gave to our family. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Dry Creek Baptist Camp P.O. Box 580 Dry Creek, LA 70637.
