Gary David Thibodeaux

Gary David Thibodeaux, 74, of Vinton, LA passed away Saturday, January 09, 2021 in a local hospital. 

Mr. Thibodeaux was a lifelong resident of the Sulphur and Vinton area.  He worked most of his life as a Contractor in the Construction Industry.  An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Thibodeaux enjoyed hunting, fishing and shrimping.  He was a member of Bayou Club for Chicken Fighting Club and enjoyed spending time with his son at Delta Downs Racetrack.  His greatest times were spent with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Mr. Thibodeaux will be most remembered as a happy, gentle man who truly wanted everyone to be happy.  He will be greatly missed.

He leaves to honor his memory, his wife of thirty-three years, JoAnn Thibodeaux of Vinton; one son, Patrick Garrett Thibodeaux and (Yolande) of Sulphur, LA; two step-sons, Danny Laughlin of Sulphur and Jeremy Laughlin of Sulphur; one step-daughter, Amie Laughlin (Randy Hebert) of Vinton; one grandson, Story Thibodeaux of Lake Charles; one granddaughter, Kara Thibodeaux Thompson (Caleb) of Quantico, VA; three great grandchildren, Zoie Rose Thibodeaux, Lily Ann Thibodeaux and Connor James Thibodeaux; five step grandchildren, Alexis Chisholm, Hailey Chisholm, Justin Chisholm, Claire Hebert and Randy Hebert, Jr; one brother, Robert Thibodeaux (Renee) of Vinton and two sisters, Charlene Thibodeaux of Shreveport and Polly Thibodeaux of Starks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervy and Edna Vincent Thibodeaux; one brother, Wallace Thibodeaux and one sister, Kathleen Thibodeaux.

Memorial services will be at 6:30 PM Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Christian Life Church in Vinton, LA.  Rev. Don Snider will officiate.  Family and friends will gather from 2:00 PM until the time of service in the church.
