Gary "Joe" Goudeau Jr.

Gary Wayne “Joe” Goudeau, Jr, 58, of Moss Bluff passed away at 6:47 AM on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 in the comfort of his home.

Mr. Goudeau was born on September 20, 1964 in Topeka, KS and lived all of his life in the Lake area where he was a graduate of Sulphur High School.   Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy and served our country for six years.  Upon being honorably discharged, he began his 28 year career with Sasol, retiring as a supervisor.  

In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 29 years, Leslie Quinn Goudeau of Moss Bluff; children, Nick Goudeau (Devyn) of Sulphur, Chad Goudeau (Laura) of Lake Charles, and Amy Jo, Grace Ann, and Dylan Goudeau all of Moss Bluff; parents, Gary and Mary Ann Goudeau of Moss Bluff; siblings, Jeff Goudeau (Michelle) of Lake Charles, Darren Goudeau (Peter Cleveland) of Rochester Hills, MI, and Laura Goudeau Underwood (Chris) of Houston; grandchildren, Isla, Adalynn, and Neveah Goudeau; and nieces and nephews, Jeffery and Taylor Goudeau and Kate, Beth, and Tori Underwood.

He was preceded in death by a son, Warren Goudeau.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel in Moss Bluff.  Military honors will be rendered at 3:30 PM.  A private inurnment will take place in Goos Cemetery in Moss Bluff.
