Gaye Beakley

Gaye Lynn Kahn Beakley, 57, of Lake Charles, LA died on Monday, February 9, 2015 in a local hospital. Ms. Beakley was born January 3, 1958 in DeRidder, LA, where she was lived as a child and moved to Lake Charles in 1968. She was a graduate of LaGrange High School and worked in the medical field most of her career. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She loved to be outside in the yard spending time in her garden. Ms. Beakley also enjoyed being with her pets. She was a wonderful care giver for many people throughout the years and will be missed dearly. Ms. Beakley is survived by her daughters, Leila Beakley Bordelon and husband Shannon and Kimberly Ruth Beakley; parents, Ed and Faye Kahn; granddaughters, Kaylee D. Bordelon and Aurora Faelyn Lane, all of Lake Charles; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and last but not least, her loving spouse, Tony Peshoff. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Charles Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
