Gaynelle Sue Gehrig was born to Sam and Edna Lisotta of Lake Charles on October 21st, 1957. Gay was a graduate of LaGrange High School. After graduation she worked as a secretary, executive assistant, and office manager. Gay was fun loving and a nurturer. She had two daughters, three stepdaughters, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was dedicated to her husband, Doug, for almost 30 years. In addition to this family, Gay invited many others into her life, her heart, and her home. Gay loved to spend time with all of them regardless of how they came to her. In the last few years, she spent much of her time caring for her Father, Mother, and sister, Cathy, all of whom passed before her of illness. Caring for them was a daily activity.
Gay’s smiles, laughs, and enthusiasm will remain in everyone’s hearts. There were no strangers in her home; she welcomed guests, and they left as family. She leaves behind her husband, Doug Gehrig; her Daughters, Carly Robinson and Courtney LaSalle (Bryton); three stepdaughters, Barbara Havlik (Douglas), Elizabeth Felder (Andrew), and Emily Thomas (Robert) ; nine Grandchildren; one great grandchild; and sister, Cindy Beaugh. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Edna Lisotta; her siblings, Cathy Reeves and brother Sammie Lisotta; brother-in-law, Timothy Beaugh; and her granddaughter, Alexis Robinson.
