Gennieve "Totsie" Marie Lognion

Gennieve “Totsie” Marie Lognion, 95, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, in Lake Charles, LA. She was born on January 19, 1929, in Lake Arthur, LA, to Isaac and Zora Broussard Darbonne.

Totsie was a dedicated school bus driver, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family. She found joy in dancing, traveling, and maintaining her home. She was also a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 2130.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Shirley Ann Peek (Dale), Gregory Paul Johnson, and Gerald Joseph Johnson; her 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Anthony Johnson; her second husband, Euclide Lognion; her parents; her son, Kenneth Wayne Johnson; and her sister, Della Bellon; her grandson, Randall Johnson; and her great granddaughter, Britanny Parsley;

A Rosary will be recited in Totsie’s honor at 11:00 AM on Sunday, October 6, 2024, in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
