Geoffrey Francis Howse, 71, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Geoff was proceeded in death by his parents, Richard and Dorothy Howse along with his brother Leslie Howse.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Irene Howse; aunt, Betty Brodeur; niece, Nadiya Howse Massingham (Daniel Massingham); stepchildren, Anissa Darbonne (Darrel Darbonne), Brandie Arrant (Brian Arrant); grandchildren, Madison Palermo (Ryan Palermo), Kennedy Darbonne, Randie Arrant, Braeden Arrant, and Emma Arrant.

Geoff was born in Brisbane, Australia. He moved to the United States for his job at Air BP. Later, he earned his dual citizenship for the United States. Geoff worked his way up to become the business manager at Air BP for the North and South American regions. After working there for twenty-two years, he retired in 2009.

Geoff met the love of his life, Irene, in Houston, TX. They were married in 2004 in their Westlake home along with their family and friends. Irene blessed Geoff with two stepdaughters that he loved as his own.  

Geoff had an intense love for traveling. Along with his wife, he enjoyed entertaining both family and friends on his boat the “Down Under.” The couple could often be found on the open water. This is where they enjoyed a lot of their time. Geoff also enjoyed traveling back home to Australia to see his late brother, Leslie, and niece, Nadiya. He will be missed dearly by so many.

Funeral services for Geoff will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 in Moss Bluff at Johnson Funeral home 2171 North Highway 171, Lake Charles, LA 70611. Rev. Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a rosary at 12 p.m. A private burial will take place following the services.
