George Allen Soileau

George Allen Soileau, 64, of Ragley, LA, died at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 29, 2012.

Mr. Soileau was born July 10, 1948 in Ville Platte, LA. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for three years during the Vietnam War. He worked as a tow boat captain for over forty-years.

Mr. Soileau is survived by his son, George Allen Bubba Soileau, Jr. of LeBleu Settlement; mother, Barbara Soileau of Lake Charles; three sisters, Cora Seaward of Lake Charles, Gail Miller of Dry Creek, LA and Barbara Ann Butler of Natchitoches; step-sons, Jonathan Andrus and Jamie Andrus; and one grandchild, Darin Soileau.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Manuel Soileau; father, Allen H. Soileau; and brothers, Norbert Soileau and David Soileau one sister, Madeline Carter .

His funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery in Hayes, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service with a rosary at 10:30 AM.
