George Hollier

George James Hollier, 73, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. He was born on February 27, 1949, to James and Lena (Folse) Hollier in Lafayette, LA.

George was a Union Member with IATSE, Locals 260 & 478 for over 50 years. He was an amateur HAM Club Operator of Southwest La and worked at Moss Regional in the IT Department for 12 years.  He was also a member of Local M.C. and was a jack of all trades and willing to help others.  George enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. 

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth “Bette” Hollier; children, James A. Hollier “Sam” and wife Amanda and David Chain Hollier; Grandchildren, Annaleise Palermo, Emma Hollier, Madison Hollier, Lily Stanton, James Graham Hollier and Oliver Hollier; Siblings, Patricia Fontenot, Marvin Hollier, Robert Hollier and Kenneth Hollier and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Elizabeth Surles.

Gathering of friends and family will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 11:00am until 3:00pm.  Cremation has been trusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
