George W. Trahan, Jr.

George W. Trahan, Jr., 51, of Lake Charles passed away Friday, March 11, 2022 in a local hospital following a brief series of illness.

George lived most of his life in Lake Charles.  He was a graduate of Barbe High School where he began his love of music as a member of the band.  He worked much of his life in electronics and went on to further his education at Sowela Technical College where he earned an Associate degree in Computer Technology.  His latest position was as an independent computer consultant.  George enjoyed music, watching movies and quoting scenes from his favorites.  He will be remembered as a man of faith, as well as, his kind heart and his generosity to others.

He leaves to honor his memory, his son, Mason Alexander Trahan of Nederland, TX; father, George W. Trahan, Sr. of Lake Charles; two brothers, Chad Allen Trahan of Lake Charles and Chris Brent Trahan (Robin) of Westlake; two nephews, Jayden and Isaiah Trahan and his extended family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ada Patricia Fruge Trahan and grandparents, Duris and Elda Trahan and Wesley and Grady Fruge.

In respect of George’s wishes, his family will gather privately in his home for a memorial celebration.
