Georgette Holleman, 89, of Lake Charles, LA died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in a local care facility. Georgette was born on January 10, 1925 in Scott, LA to Wilson and Louise Knight. She was a fun loving person known for her quickly witted humor and a love for an energetic life. She was the person who could get you moving and dancing with little effort. She enjoyed being around family and friends. She was infamous for running the roads and always on the go. She was a graduate from Scott High School. She lived in the Lake Charles area for over 50 years. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. She is survived by two nieces, Marguerite B. Fontenot and Kathy Powell; one nephew, Paul W. Broussard; and one sister-in-law, Doris Horn. She is preceded in death by her parents; one nephew, Thimothy John Broussard; two sisters, Marie Louise Molly K. Lalonde and Ann Audrey K. Broussard. Services will be Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Margaret Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a 6:00 PM Rosary. Visitation will resume Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Father William Bill Miller will officiate services.
