Georgiana Hayes Corbello

A native of Mamou, LA and a resident of Lake Charles for most of her life, she passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the age of 92. Georgiana was a school bus driver for the Calcasieu Parish School System for many years and was a long-term member of Boulevard Baptist Church. She enjoyed painting and socializing with her friends whether it be simply drinking coffee or playing "Skip Bo" (a card game). She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Left to treasure her memory is her daughter Linda Fontenot (Floyd "Pat"); grandchildren Patrick Fontenot (Sue), Shelly Espree (Red), Tammy Cudd (William); five great-grandchildren; eight great-great-granchildren; and long-term companion Gus Eckland. She is preceded in death by three husbands Everette Hayes, William Smith, and Albert Corbello; parents Frank and Zelima Reed; six brothers; four sisters, one great grandchild. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake Street) on Sunday June 29, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday June 30, 2014 from 9:00 AM until Funeral Service at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Hayes Cemetery at Hayes, LA.
