Funeral services for Mr. Gerald Lynn Coulter, 56, of Sulphur, LA will begin at 3:00pm on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Maplewood Church of Christ in Sulphur. Services will be conducted by Bro. Howard Griffin, close friend and minister. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery, Edgerly. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Robison Funeral Home Chapel from 3 pm " 9 pm. Mr. Coulter passed away on May 10, 2010 at his residence. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years: Glenda McBride Coulter of Sulphur; daughter: Rebecca Coulter Fontaine and husband Thomas Mark of Sulphur; 2 grandsons: Malachi and Adam Fontaine of Sulphur; his parents: Elmer and Bernice Coulter of Bastrop, LA; 1 brother and 3 sisters; and a host of other family and friends; and a grand-dog, Frank Fontaine. Born on July 26, 1953, to Elmer and Bernice Coulter. Gerald lived in the Sulphur area all of his life. As a teenager he delivered newspapers and mowed lawns. Later he worked at Cities Service then at PPG. While employed at Players, later Harrah's, he enjoyed work as an EMT/Safety officer from which he retired. Gerald loved watching sports including the Sulphur Tors, McNeese Cowboys, LSU Tigers, Saints and Astros. He was able to finally see his Saints play and win the Super Bowl. He left his home and the arms of his family to join Jesus, friends and family where he is now whole and healthy once again. The family wishes to thank Dr. Richard Gilmore, Ralph Hays, Dr. Tony Leung, the staff of Davita Dialysis of Sulphur, Harbor Hospice and Acadian Ambulance for all their help and service throughout the years.
