Gerald Ray Benoit, Sr.

Mr. Gerald Benoit passed away on August 8th, 2021. He was born on March 24th, 1950, in Lake Charles, LA. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 50 years, Vickie Benoit; five children; Gerald Benoit Jr. 49 of Lake Charles, Allen Benoit 43 of Lake Charles, Brandon Benoit 41 of Westlake, Latisha Soileau 38 of Lake Charles, and Madison Benoit 18 of Lake Charles; two sisters Delores George of Dayton Texas, and Lula Enders of Lake Charles; Six grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Gerald loved supporting and cheering on all LSU sports and Classic Car Shows.

Gerald loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending quality time and making memories. His hobbies including playing pool and Coaching baseball.

He is preceded in death by a son Brian 3, his mom, dad, brothers, and sisters as well as other family members that have passed.

His funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at University Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at University Baptist Church from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
