Geraldine Perry

Geraldine Manuel Perry, 80, of Lake Charles, LA died at 7:55 PM on Sunday, August 23, 2015 in a local care facility. Mrs. Perry was born June 13, 1935 in Elton, LA and lived for over sixty years in Lake Charles, LA. She worked as a painter for a number of years and attended Livingway Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, gardening and arranging silk flowers. Mrs. Perry is survived by her son, Aaron Thibodeaux; daughters, Carolyn Woods and husband Randy and Crystal Giovanni and husband John; brother, David Martin Manuel; sisters, Lena Romero and Linda Rider; grandchild, Wyatt Giovanni; and the father of her children, Elton Joseph "E.J." Thibodeaux. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Perry; and two brothers, Nelson Manuel, Sr. and Jerry Manuel. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Charles Nugent will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Elton, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
