Geraldine R. Gauthreaux

Geraldine Richard Gauthreaux, 81, died April 11, 2011, in a local care facility.

A resident of Westlake, she was born in Ragley to Alfred Clinton and Rena Busby Richard. Mrs. Gauthreaux was a waitress and also worked in the Youth Division for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Office. She was of the Baptist faith, but also attended the Pentecostal Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter, Connie Prater of Westlake; two loving grandsons, Ronald G. Hardee and wife Ann and Daron Glen Prater and wife Christy, all of Georgia; three loving great grandchildren, Ronald Hardee, III and Dustin and Kaylee Prater; two loving brothers, Alfred "Boe" Richard and his wife Velma of Westlake and Larry L. Richard and wife, Linda of Barnes Creek, LA; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011, at Old Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Pastor Aaron Lopez of Eastwood Pentecostal Church will officiate.

Pallbearers will be J. J. Fruge, Ronald Hardee, Daron Prater, Curtis Richard, Kelsey Richard, Dustin Snead, and Ronnie Lark Richard.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Rosewood Nursing Home and Southern Care Hospice for the love and care shown to Geraldine and her family and visitors.
