Gerry Marie Camp Bader

Gerry Marie Camp Bader 80, passed away on June 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 4, 1943, in Lake Charles, LA, to Loy and Madeline Camp.

Gerry had a love for art, and teaching children. She was a talented artist and photographer. Gerry was passionate about education, she taught art and gifted children in Calcasieu and Cameron Parish and retired as a school counselor. She loved traveling and for many years she served as Vice principal, teacher, and counselor on military bases for DODS (Department of Defense Schools) all around the world.  She enjoyed watching football with family and friends. Gerry also proudly served as Captain for Lake Charles Civil Air Patrol for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Paul Bader and wife Melissa, Loy Bader and companion Lisa, 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Friends and family will gather to honor and celebrate Gerry’s life on Friday June 14th, 2024,from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Friday June 14, 2024.
