Gertie Mae Olsen

Gertie Mae Olsen, 90, of Sulphur, LA passed away on Tuesday, January 25,2022, in her home.

Gertie was born on January 7, 1932, in Lake Charles, LA to Bevian and Velma Hebert and was a lifelong resident of Carlyss. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and praying for people.

She is survived by 2 children, Jodey Olsen and Renee Hicks; 8 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 3 grandpups.

Gertie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles “Buster” Olsen; one granddaughter, Hayley Olsen; and one grandson, Jim Bob Olsen.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, February 4, 2022, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service with a rosary being prayed at 12:00 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home on Friday. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines South.
