Gilbert James Quebodeaux, 43, of Ragley died at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at his residence.
Gilbert was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana and has lived most of his life in Moss Bluff. He attended Sam Houston High School. Gilbert worked as a heavy equipment operator for over 25 years for KC Trucking Company. He was of the Catholic Faith. In high school he was voted most popular and biggest flirt. Gilbert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, but most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren. His nieces and nephews always called him "Uncle Punk".
He is survived by one daughter Jade Nugent of Welsh, LA, two sons Devin James Quebodeaux of Lake Charles and Conner Cole Quebodeaux of Ragley, LA parents Gwen and Terry Quebodeaux of Ragley, LA, one brother Stacy Quebodeaux of Moss Bluff, LA, two sisters Tammy Cole of Ragley, LA and Taressa Fruge of Moss Bluff, LA, three grandchildren: Gatlin Nugent, Remington Nugent and Colt Nugent all of Welsh.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 PM May 31, 2011 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Robert Cole will be the celebrant. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM until the time of services.
