Gilbert Manuel

Gilbert Manuel, age 80, passed away October 24, 2010, with his friend, Lowell Hausler, at his bedside.

A resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, he was born and raised here in Lake Charles. A graduate of McNeese State University, he attended L.S.U. as well.

Survivors include his siblings, Donna Harvey, Albert "Rabbit" Manuel and wife, Collette, Beulah Fontenot, and Bertha Rains and husband, Edgar all of Lake Charles; a sister-in-law, Patsy Manuel of Lake Charles; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Joe and Alice Manuel, a sister, Enola Manning, and a brother, J.M. Manuel.

Upon his wishes, Mr. Manuel was cremated.
