Gisela Busby

May 7, 1933 — December 25, 2017

Gisela Johnson Busby passed away peacefully in a local hospital December 25, 2017 with her family at her side.

Gisela grew up in Germany during World War II.  She met and fell in love with a young United States serviceman, Roy Lee Johnson. In 1957 they married in Baden, Germany, moved to the states in 1958 where they made Westlake their home. Gisela was a hostess for the Chateau Charles Hotel & Restaurant  for many years.  She later retired from the Calcasieu Parish School Board after 15 years of service as a Bus Aide. Gisela loved the Lord, spending time with family and friends.  She will be remembered for her giving spirit.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Mike Johnson and his wife Marcy of Westlake; three granddaughters, Jade Comeaux and husband Steven, Jase Hebert and her husband Jayce and Jena Johnson; two great grandchildren, Carson and Callie Comeaux; and one sister, Ruth From Kileen, Texas.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Johnson; her second husband,  Edward Busby;6 siblings; and one granddaughter, Jesse’ Johnson.

Graveside services will be held 10a.m. Thursday,  December 28, 2017at Highland Memorial Gardens in Lake Charles. Rev. Jaceson Johnson will officiate.
