Gladys Hebert Estopinal

Gladys Hebert Estopinal, 98, of Oberlin, LA died on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in her residence. Mrs. Estopinal was born October 31, 1915 in Oberlin, LA and lived for a number of years in New Orleans, working as a hostess at the Fairmont Roosevelt Hotel. She has lived in Oberlin again for over forty years. She was a member of Oberlin Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and working crossword puzzles. She will always be remembered for her outgoing, fun-loving personality. Mrs. Estopinal is survived by her daughter, Janice Lewallen and husband Michael of Oberlin; son, Daniel Estopinal and wife Lin of Grovetown, GA; sister, Verna DuPlechian of Oberlin; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Hebert; grandchildren, Jeff Messina and wife Veronica, Yang Li, Chris Lewallen, and Joe Lewallen; and great-grandchildren, Noah, Adrian, and Jack. Her memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Oberlin Baptist Church. Food and fellowship will follow the service.
