Glen Earl Broussard

Glen Earl Broussard, 74, of Lake Charles died at 6:15 PM on Monday, June 27, 2016 in a Welsh care facility.

Mr. Broussard was born on September 26, 1941 in Creole, LA and moved to Lake Charles 54 years ago. He was a dedicated, hard working employee to Roy Bailey Construction, Inc. for 54 years as an equipment operator.

He was a loving and caring husband and enjoyed dancing and cooking.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 44 years, Dell Broussard of Lake Charles; a son, Gary Higgs of Dallas, TX; a granddaughter, Dawn Higgs of Lake Charles; two great granddaughters, Alexandra and Aurora Hebert both of Lake Charles; and his beloved dog, Maggie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leliah and Edward Broussard.

A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Creole, LA. The Rev. Babasino Fernandes will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Friday from 10:00 AM until leaving for the church at 12:00 PM noon.
