Glen Orvil Foy

March 6, 1947 — December 15, 2021

Glen Orvil Foy loving husband and father has gone to be with Our Lord & Savior Wednesday, December 15, 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with dementia.

He was born in Hattiesburg, MS and lived in Lake Charles since the age of 8.  He was a graduate of Marion High School in 1966, a Vietnam War Veteran, went to work for Gulf States Utilities (now Entergy) for 35 years.

Glen will be remembered for his love of music, playing the drums, singing at will, playing golf and watching all sports and good old westerns on TV.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Patricia Polito Foy, son Brandon Foy (Giva), granddaughters Tawni Roberts of Lake Charles and Kaiya Foy of Lake Charles, great-grandchildren Quienly Williams and Rohan Williams, brothers Michael Foy (Debbie) of Lake Charles, Dean Foy (Darlene) of Michigan and sister Connie Erwin (Graylan) of Ruston, LA, several godchildren, nieces and nephews that loved him very much.

He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Patrick Glen Foy, parents Carroll & Lorrelle Foy and brother Bobby Foy.

The family wishes to express sincere thanks and appreciation for loving care given by Lamica Fuselier & Markeya Lafanette with Evangeline Home Health, Stonebridge Assisted Living in Sulphur, Grand Cove Nursing & Rehabilitation, Dusti Breaux with Home Instead, Brighten Bridge Hospice, the ER & ICU Staff and Tower 2 nurses for their loving care, his primary physician Dr. Brian Clements, Internal Medicine, and a special thank you for his care and compassion Dr. Jason Hagen, Hospitalist at Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service and Celebration of Life will be held at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, Saturday, December 18, 2021.  Visitation starting at 10:30am, Rosary at 12:30pm, concluding with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30pm. A private burial to be held at Consolata on Monday, December 20, 2021.
