Mr. Bellon was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles.  He began his career as a Millwright for Carpenter’s Local Union 1476 where he worked for twenty-three years before his move to Westlake Polymers where he retired as a supervisor with twenty-three years of service.  Mr. Bellon’s greatest joy was his family.  He dedicated his life to the care and keeping of his loved ones and he was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed visits with family, traveling the country with his wife, camping, and game nights with his children and grandchildren.  He was a  man of strong faith and a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.  Mr. Bellon will be most remembered for his love, presence, guidance and for “ALWAYS” being there.

He leaves to honor his memory, his “Bride” of 53 years, Nancy Bloyd Bellon of Lake Charles; daughter, Shelly Bellon Rion of Lake Charles; son, Steven Glenn Bellon (Kimberly) of San Jose, CA; four grandchildren, Madelyn Kate Bellon of San Jose, CA, Lauren Elizabeth Benoit (Stephen) of McDonough, GA, Brett Michael Montelaro (fiancé, Laura Pivach) and Katherine Grace Rion of Lake Charles; one great-grandchild, Gracelyn Claire Benoit of McDonough, GA; three brothers, Randy Bellon (Jennifer) of Moss Bluff, David Bellon (Sandra) of Orange, TX and Keith Bellon (Charlotte) of Magnolia, TX; sister, Susan Stidham (Dennis) Montgomery, TX and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Clancy Bellon and Ovaline Duplechin Hebert and one brother, Terry Bellon.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 02, 2021 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Prien Memorial Park.  Visitation Thursday will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM at University Baptist Church.  Visitation Friday will be from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM at University Baptist.

The family would like to thank Dr. Mohammad Khan and the many caregivers with Christus Hospice and Palliative Care for their loving attention to our loved one.  Your kindness will not be forgotten.
