Glenn Harold Stine, 84, of Sulphur passed away on October 16, 2013 in the Southwest LA War Vets Home in Jennings, LA. Glenn was born in New Orleans, LA and lived in DeQuincy for 40 years and in Sulphur since 1997. He worked as an electrician for Cities Service, PCD, and the Sulphur Salt Dome as an electrician expeditor for 20 years. He also owned and operated Stines Radio and TV Company in DeQuincy Glenn served his country in the U. S. Air Force as a sergeant stationed in Alaska. He loved watching t v and playing bingo at the War Vets Home. Glenn is survived by his son, Michael Howard Stine and wife, Trish of Sulphur; three granddaughters, Penny Maylen and husband, Shane of Lake Charles, Makayla Stine of Sulphur and Crystal Day of Westlake; great granddaughter, Emma Maylen of Lake Charles. 4 great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Ryann, Taylor and Jackson Day; brother, Kenward Stine and wife, Lee of Sulphur; mother of his granddaughter, Helen Stine of Sulphur He was preceded in death by his sister, Jewel Dowers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Gothrup officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
