Glenn Joseph Duren

Glenn Joseph Duren, 80, of Sulphur, LA died at 1:11 pm Saturday, September 6, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Glenn was born July 16, 1934 in Saint Paul, Minnesota to Albert and Alma Duren. Glenn was a very generous man with love and compassion. Glenn worked for The Army Corps of Engineers for over 30 years. He had a love for country and western music, playing cards, and being the life of the party. He is survived by his loving companion, Ms. Ethel Dronette of Sulphur, LA; one son, John Glenn Duren; three step-daughters; and numerous people on his life's path. He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Pamela Duren; one son, David Joseph Duren; wife, Phyllis Duren; one step-son. Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be the from 11:00 PM until 1:00 PM Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home with a rosary at 12:00 PM. Rev. Theron Watson will officiate services.
