Glenn Matthew Abshire

Glenn Matthew Abshire, 80, of Sulphur, La passed away on October 15, 2011 in a local hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur. After high school he served his country on the U S Army. He was awarded the Purple Heart during the Korean War. After returning to Sulphur, he went to work for Fuller Austin Insulation. Glenn is survived by his two sons; Karl and David Abshire both of Sulphur, two sisters; Carmelita Young and husband Donald of Carlyss and Barbara Jean Smith and husband John of Winnsboro, LA, one brother; A J Abshire of Lake Charles, 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; Peggy Buller Abshire.
