Glenn Scott Smith

Glenn Scott Smith, 60, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, in the comfort of his home with his family by his side.  Scott was born on March 26, 1964, to James Smith and Katherine Johnson Smith.  He loved to golf, fish, and duck and deer hunt.  Scott enjoyed listening to live music and spending quality time with his family and friends.  He was a graduate of McNeese State University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, where he was also a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity.  Scott also holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Houston.

Scott is survived by his wife, Heidi Smith; his children, Ryan Smith (Alex Smith), Patricia Bohannon (Seth Bohannon), Jennifer “Mariea” Harris, Justine “Preechy” Clark (Trent Clark), and Jamie Smith; his grandchildren, Tage, Stella, Ryder, Nora, Hattie, Baker, Kodie, and Waylon; and his siblings, Wade Smith, William Smith and Dorothy Medica.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services for Scott will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 10 AM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur.  Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park cemetery in Lake Charles.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 5-8 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 8 AM until the time of service.
